FEHU
Audhumlah, first of all, was born,
from union of ice and fire.
Gentle mother of eternal becoming,
nourishes all desire.

URUZ
Ancient cosmic seed, storm, hammer,
cutting sleet and slicing hail,
heads set down against worst wild nature,
the courageous and the strong prevail.

THURISAZ
Awakening to a new dawn,
the fragrant rose,
twines and grows,
safe above her thorn.

ANSUZ
Through my mouth the god speaking.
Through my eye the all seeing.
Thought and memory nine worlds circle,
transcendent dreams my soul freeing.

RAIDO
Fall in step to the rhythm of the ride,
find right rituals, listen for the beat.
Follow to the sun in the shadow of your guide.
Journey far and wide and trust the wisdom of your feet.

KENAZ
A passion fire burns.
Keeping darkness at bay.
So we may hear, through the turning of years,
what our ancestors have to say.

GEBO
Give with an open heart,
your magic pearls of love,
love ecstatic and promised from the start,
sacred gifts from gods above.

WUNJO
Light as cloud,
free of sorrow,
love is all,
heed not the morrow.

HAGALAZ
There is light in the dark,
dark in the light.
Order follows chaos follows order follows chaos,
just as day follows night.

NAUTHIZ
Succour waits for those in need,
those in darkness without hope,
what must be, must always be,
try your luck and take the rope.

ISA
Patience dear one,
when the risk is great,
when the waters have frozen,
when spring comes late.

JERA
Blessings for our fields of plenty,
heavy fruits on branches pull,
seeds we planted now deliver,
spirits, hearts and bellies full.

IWAZ
Betwixt two realms I take my bow,
stand my ground, aim high.
Hold steady till right moment shows,
send my splitting arrows to the sky.

PERDO
Though we decipher and divine,
the better to discern fates plan,
things not often as they seem,
ever thwart the schemes of man.

ALGIZ
A light shines out to find the fallen.
A hand outstretched, foes crown to steal.
For that which seeks to break mans spirit,
no match for that which seeks to heal.

SOWELLO
Life force whole and pure white bright,
shimmers in all living things,
rises up towards the light,
enlightenment it brings.

Look to the star of justice,
hold fast to faith,
find true north on this perilous road,
guiding star of grace.

BERKANA
Rune of the woman,
of the witch, of the womb.
Rune of new beginnings,
of good news and birch twig broom.

EHWAZ
Divine pair.
United, peaceful, wise.
Working together towards one end,
apple of each others eyes.

MANNAZ
Sky father priest king,
speak to your child.
Unlock minds eye,
free the man, wise and wild.

LAGUZ
Primal water, intuition and creative flow,
guide me cross the great sea,
show me what I need to know,
to navigate quite beautifully.

INGWAZ
One door closes another opens,
between is the sting,
yet what awaits on the other side,
but the promise of spring.

DAGAZ
The moment is here,
the wind rushes by,
let go of fear,
leap forwards and fly.

OTHILA
Leave ‘I’ behind become the ‘we’,
this the true nobility.
This a different, sweet, soft throne.
Come home my dear, come home, come home.
