Rune Art: Voenix (Thomas Vömel)
These images have been shared on this blog at an earlier time. They are being shared again though with improved quality to punctuate perhaps the closing of one time and the beginning of another for myself and this blog.
The Power of the Runes (US Games Systems, Inc. 2013) was one of a number of decks that began an unexpectedly lengthy ongoing jouney of sharing world-wide rune art. Previously this deck was shared with lower quality than shown here.
These images are being shared to celebrate the rune artwork of Voenix (Thomas Vömel) once again. Symbolically, it was fitting that what was the start of a journey should now demarcate perhaps an ending whilst the world marks perhaps another Ragnarok (this entry was drafted Easter 2020.). These images were scanned in December 2019 from a personal purchased deck then ‘mounted’ using Serif design software.
The Power of the Runes deck expresses respective correspondences through unique and individual artwork created by Voenix with decorative borders, numbering and names of each rune written in elder futhark. His artwork is being shared again to celebrate the impact of his work on my personal jouney of discovering rune art and because I love his work.
I am also proud to have shared this jouney with Krystyna without whom only a fraction of the rune art here would have been discovered. Thank you.
